Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Open 2026 Returns with ₱1 Million Prize Pool, Road to SMASH 2026

The Philippine Wild Rift esports scene is gearing up for another exciting season as Riot Games Philippines officially brings back Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Open 2026, offering aspiring teams the chance to compete for a massive ₱1 million prize pool and earn a spot at SMASH 2026 in South Korea.

Positioned as Riot Games’ premier grassroots Wild Rift tournament in the country, Wild Rounds continues its mission of spotlighting local talent and creating more opportunities for Filipino players to showcase their skills on a bigger stage. This year’s tournament aims to strengthen community participation while providing a pathway toward international competition.

“With the strong return of Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Open this year, we remain committed to lowering the barriers to entry for aspiring grassroots communities to compete on an international level,” said Lara Antonio, Regional Community Lead for Wild Rift APAC.

The stakes are higher than ever. The tournament champions will take home ₱500,000, while second and third place finishers will receive ₱250,000 and ₱125,000, respectively. Beyond the cash prizes, top-performing teams will earn the opportunity to represent the Philippines at SMASH 2026, Riot Games’ cross-regional Wild Rift community event scheduled for November in South Korea.

Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Open 2026 will be conducted across two nationwide splits. Split 1 runs from June through July, featuring group stages and playoff qualifiers that will determine the first batch of teams advancing to the community playoffs. Split 2 follows later in the season, giving additional teams another opportunity to fight for a place in the Road to SMASH Playoffs.

The competition will culminate in the Road to SMASH Playoffs from September 25 to 27, where the country’s top Wild Rift teams will battle for the right to carry the Philippine banner on the international stage.

Para sa mga Pinoy Wild Rift players, the return of Wild Rounds signals another major boost for the local grassroots esports ecosystem. Riot Games Philippines also revealed plans for additional community-focused activities throughout the season, including creator activations, influencer-led tournaments, and community events designed to bring fans and players together.

With bigger rewards, a clear international pathway, and continued support for grassroots competition, Wild Rounds: Pilipinas Open 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most important Wild Rift tournaments in the Philippines this year.
