TL;DR: Webzen just dropped a new update for MU: Pocket Knights that adds Boss Rush, a five-boss relay dungeon, and Arka, a new growth system that boosts six stats. There’s a launch event too, so now’s a good time to log in.
If you’ve been idling your way through MU: Pocket Knights waiting for something meaty, ito na ‘yon. Webzen is rolling out two new pieces of content for the idle RPG on October 1: Boss Rush, where players take on five types of bosses, and Arka, which enhances six stats. It’s a simple loop. You fight bosses to farm materials, then use those materials to make your squad stronger. The loop is simple, but it’s addicting once you get into it.
Boss Rush: five bosses, walang pahinga
Boss Rush is the new dungeon, and the name says it all. Players defeat five bosses that appear in an otherworldly realm called the Dimensional Rift, entering through the Rift in the village of Lorencia and the Monster NPC. You take on all five bosses with your four characters, so your party setup matters more than usual. Kung puro DPS lang ang lineup mo, baka mabitin ka sa bandang dulo.
The official key art teases a cute-but-menacing final boss riding a giant red creature, backed by armored knights and a blue-flamed skeleton warrior. It has that classic MU dark fantasy vibe in chibi form.
Wait, Lorencia? Yes, that Lorencia. For those of us who grew up during the golden age of Philippine MMORPGs, the starting town of the original MU Online brings back memories of shared PCs at the internet café, late-night leveling sessions, and the barkada arguing over who gets the drop. It’s a nice touch that Pocket Knights keeps using these old locations, even in a much lighter idle format.
Arka: the new endgame grind
The reward for clearing bosses is the Arka Orb, and that feeds directly into the second new feature. The Arka growth system unlocks once you reach Stage 201 of the Main Stage, and lets you enhance six stats using Arka Orbs earned from Boss Rush. When each stat hits its maximum tier, your Arka level goes up, opening room for further character growth. The goal is to push all six stats to S Rank.

In short, Arka is the new long-term progression track for players who’ve already cleared most of the early and mid-game content. Kung hindi ka pa umaabot ng Stage 201, ngayon na ang tamang oras para mag-grind. That way you’ll be ready by the time the community figures out the best Arka builds.
Launch event: free sweep keys
Webzen is also running a celebration event alongside the update. The “Ruler of the Dimensional Rift” event begins October 1, and completing missions after clearing Boss Rush rewards Boss Rush Keys, which are used to sweep the dungeon. Sweeping means faster farming. For an idle game, that’s basically free time back in your day. Sulit.
Almost one year in
The timing is fitting, since MU: Pocket Knights is coming up on its first year. The game launched globally in September 2025, and an official PC version followed in November 2025 alongside new class advancements. Since then, Webzen has kept a steady stream of updates coming, from Raids and Artifacts to Runes and new battle chapters. Boss Rush and Arka look like the most endgame-focused addition so far.
