TL;DR: The local Dekaron server died with Mobius Philippines back in 2013. Pero the game itself never really left. In 2026, Dekaron is run directly by its developer, UBIFUN, on NA/EU servers, with frequent updates, new content, and a legal crackdown on private servers.
Back in August 2008, we posted that Dekaron was coming to the Philippines. Mobius Philippines, the same publisher behind MU Online here, was opening a closed beta for Pinoy gamers. The game was dark, bloody and fast, the kind of MMORPG na hindi mo ipapalaro sa bunso mong kapatid.
That old post still gets visitors today. So kung napadpad ka rito hoping to download that Dekaron, here’s what happened.
What happened to Dekaron Philippines?
The local run didn’t survive the era. Mobius suspended all of its services on April 30, 2013, and closed for good that same year. Whatever was left of Philippine Dekaron went down with it.
Outside the country, though, the game kept going. In the West it was known as 2Moons under Acclaim, then lived on as Dekaron Global under publishers like Papaya Play and, later, VALOFE’s VFUN platform. Same game, different landlords.
Who runs Dekaron now?
Since May 3, 2024, the North America and Europe servers have been handled directly by UBIFUN, the developer itself. Wala nang middleman. Players had until August 2024 to move their old VFUN characters over, and UBIFUN promised weekly updates, which is rare for a PC MMO this old. Parang mobile game ang bilis ng patch.
The content hasn’t stopped either. One of the first big drops after the takeover was a long-awaited new class, the Alokes.
One thing to keep in mind: there’s no SEA server. Expect NA or EU-level ping from here.
Is it worth playing in 2026?

Depende. In a January 2026 review, YouTuber MoserRS said Dekaron is in one of its best states ever for established players, with combat and PvP still the main draw. The catch is for newcomers and returnees. Legacy systems, old-timer advantages and pay-to-win elements make catching up harder.
Translation: kung matagal ka nang naglalaro at may gear ka na, masaya. Kung fresh start ka, be ready to grind, and maybe gumastos.
What about private servers?
Private servers have kept plenty of old MMOs alive for Pinoy players, and Dekaron has its share. But UBIFUN is now going after them hard. In December 2025, law firm Nixon Peabody reported that UBIFUN had filed copyright and trademark suits in US courts, sent takedown demands, and even targeted the payment processors behind unauthorized servers. The results so far: six-figure judgments and permanent injunctions against several operators.
So that pserver with the crazy EXP rates? Pwedeng mawala anytime, kasama ng lahat ng in-top-up mo.
And mobile?
There were spin-offs. Dekaron M launched in Korea first, then developer ThumbAge rebranded it as Dekaron G, a cross-platform version with blockchain features. Old fans weren’t impressed, mostly because it launched with only four classes, less than half of the PC game’s roster. For the real Dekaron feel, PC pa rin talaga.
So, babalik ka ba?
If you were part of the Mobius-era crowd, the door is still open. Get the client from UBIFUN’s official Dekaron site, skip the sketchy private servers, and kung kaya, hatakin mo ang barkada. Dekaron was always better with a party anyway.
