Pinay Gamer & Content Creator Sophy Signs with NYMA Talent Management

Another Filipina gamer is making waves! Popular gaming content creator and artist Sophy is now officially part of NYMA Talent Management, the same agency that handles Christian Bautista, Kristel Fulgar, and viral food creator Abi Marquez.

From DOTA Fan to Gaming Personality

Sophy started out as a DOTA fan, but by 2020 she was already streaming and producing gaming content. Since then, she has become a familiar face in the esports scene, hosting and casting events—including the 2023 DPC Southeast Asian Winter Tour.

Her streams cover a wide range of games, from big titles like Elden Ring, Genshin Impact, Marvel Rivals, and Zelda: Breath of the Wild, to indie hits like Celeste and Hollow Knight: Silksong. Whether it’s action-adventure, RPG, or even social sims like Animal Crossing, Sophy gives her viewers a taste of gaming across genres.

Not Just a Gamer

Sophy isn’t only about gaming—she’s also an artist. She paints, crochets, makes her own stickers, and even builds Lego sets. Kung baga, she’s a true creative both on and off stream.

Gaming in Southeast Asia Is Booming

Her signing comes at an exciting time. A report from Niko Partners shows that the SEA gaming market could reach 332 million gamers and generate USD 7 billion in revenue by 2028. That means more opportunities for creators like Sophy to connect with audiences in the region.

NYMA COO Kat Bautista said it best:
“The Southeast Asian gaming space is continuing to grow, with mobile games expected to bring in the revenues. It’s the perfect time to bring someone like Sophy into NYMA. She brings a thoughtful and positive energy to the gaming scene, she understands the landscape and the fans, and with her, we can expand NYMA’s work in gaming.”

Sophy, on the other hand, is looking forward to building more with the community:
“I’ve seen the Southeast Asian gaming space grow over the years, and I’m excited to be working with NYMA. I want this to be a space where more Filipina gamers can thrive.”
