WoW: Forever Goes Live Thursday Morning in PH — Here’s What Pinoy Players Need to Know

World of Warcraft Forever

TL;DR: World of Warcraft: Forever launches on Thursday, November 5, at 7:00 AM Philippine time (that’s November 4, 3:00 PM PST). The base game is included with a regular WoW subscription or Game Time, so walang hiwalay na bayad. And yes, there are Oceanic servers hosted in Australia, which is the lower-ping option for players here in Southeast Asia.

For a lot of us, WoW was the MMO. Many of PGN’s first-generation writers played it from the original 2004 days, back when you bought a retail box and paid monthly just to run Molten Core with your guild. So when Blizzard finally confirmed the long-rumored “Classic Plus” at BlizzCon, it felt personal. That game is now two days away.

So what exactly is WoW: Forever?

Think of it as a third version of WoW that lives alongside the modern game and Classic. Instead of marching through expansions again, Forever stays at level 60 and expands the original world instead. The story sits after Warcraft III: Reforged’s new Forsaken Kingdom campaign and before Molten Core, so you’re back on the old continents, pero may bagong laman.

Here’s what’s in at launch:

What time can you play in the Philippines?

Blizzard set a single global launch: November 4 at 3:00 PM Pacific. Since the US left daylight saving time last weekend, that lands at 7:00 AM PHT on Thursday, November 5. Expect login queues in the first few hours. Kung may pasok ka, maybe save the big leveling session for the evening.

How do you get in?

The base game comes with any active WoW subscription or Game Time. No extra box to buy. Blizzard also sells optional upgrade editions on the Battle.net Shop:

Check the Battle.net Shop for current Philippine pricing before you buy.

Oceanic servers: the part that matters for SEA

Forever has Oceanic realms hosted in Australia. For Pinoy players, that usually means a much better ping than NA servers, at mas madaling makahanap ng kapwa SEA players for dungeon groups. One heads-up from name reservations last week: Blizzard flagged a bug on Australian servers where you had to create any Roleplay or Roleplay-PvP character before a Normal or PvP one. Blizzard said a fix was in the works, so check the official forums before you make your first character.

What comes after launch

The first raids unlock on December 9: Barrow Deeps (10 players), Hyjal Summit (20 players) and Onyxia’s Lair (40 players). Hardcore mode follows in the winter, and Blizzard’s 2027 roadmap promises new raids, dungeons, zones and a legendary questline across spring and summer.

The real question

Forever will live or die on the community, same as it did in 2004. So, babalik ka ba? Is your old guild getting back together, or are you starting fresh with a new barkada? Tell us your old server and main in the comments. We want to know how many vanilla veterans are still out there.
