Wild Rift Patch 7.3 Is a Massive Meta Shake-Up With ADC Buffs, New Champions, and More

TL;DR: League of Legends: Wild Rift Patch 7.3 is a major gameplay overhaul. ADCs scale harder, junglers get rewarded for farming, turrets get new mechanics, and Hwei, Sylas, and Rek’Sai join the roster, with Hwei arriving September 22. May bagong 3v3 mode din called Rift Rumble.

Wild Rift is getting way more than the usual balance tweaks this time. According to Riot Games, Patch 7.3 reworks marksmen, jungle progression, turret mechanics, Ranked scoring, and pretty much the whole way teams approach the Rift. Add three new champions and a new three-player mode, and you’ve got one of the biggest patches in a while.

If you’ve gotten comfortable with the current meta, this is your sign to rethink how you play your role.

ADCs Are Getting Their Carry Back

The marksman ecosystem gets the biggest overhaul. Base critical strike damage goes up from 175% to 200%, and the Attack Speed cap rises from 2.5 to 3 attacks per second. Translation: mas rewarding na ngayon ang scaling into a traditional basic-attack carry.

Riot wants attack speed and basic attacks to matter when you build a crit marksman. A dozen champions also get targeted adjustments: Ezreal, Kai’Sa, Twitch, Lucian, Caitlyn, Draven, Miss Fortune, Samira, Zeri, Jinx, Vayne, and Ashe.

The item pool is getting a refresh too, with new or redesigned options like Hexoptics, Yun Tal Wildarrows, Fiendhunter Bolts, Stormrazor, Rapid Firecannon, and Immortal Shieldbow. Lifesteal also gets a new approach, boosting basic attacks, on-hit damage, and abilities that count as basic attacks.

Supports aren’t left out. Echoes of Helia now targets offensive supports who want to turn damage into healing, while Ardent Censer, Staff of Flowing Waters, and Harmonic Echo all get major changes.

Junglers Finally Have a Reason to Farm

Junglers have always felt the pressure to gank nonstop. Patch 7.3 eases that. Consistently clearing camps now earns bonus gold, and there’s a catch-up mechanic for junglers who fall behind. Smite also grows through Ecosystem Protection stacks, going from 600 to 1,000 and eventually 1,400 true damage. That matters when you’re fighting over Baron Nashor, Rift Herald, and Dragons.

Riot’s message: gank when it counts, but don’t ditch your jungle economy just to chase kills. Laners, kayo na ang bahala sa matchup niyo. Epic monsters change too, now scaling with the average level of players in the match instead of just getting stronger over time.

Turrets Get a Major Overhaul

Turret plating now extends across outer, inner, and inhibitor turrets and sticks around permanently. There’s also a new Crystalline Overgrowth mechanic, where turrets build up crystals that a champion’s first basic attack can detonate.

The takeaway is simple: don’t leave your turrets undefended. A few kills won’t be enough anymore. You’ll need to turn those leads into real objective damage.

Hwei, Sylas, and Rek’Sai Join Wild Rift

Hwei, the Visionary, arrives on September 22 as a flexible mid-laner with three ability sets: Subject: Disaster for offense, Subject: Serenity for supporting himself and his allies, and Subject: Torment for terrorizing enemies.

Sylas brings explosive burst, with an Abduct that flows from a stun into a knock-up, Kingslayer healing that scales with missing health, and his iconic ultimate that steals an enemy’s ultimate. Rek’Sai comes in as a teamfight starter. Her Unburrow knocks up nearby champions, and her ultimate can sense enemies wherever they hide.

Ranked Changes and Rift Rumble

Ranked players get a revamped S/A and MVP scoring system that judges you by your specific lane and champion role instead of a one-size-fits-all metric. Strong performances also earn more Ranked Energy. Legendary Ranked is being adjusted as well, with changes to the Seasonal Entry Threshold for former Grand Masters and a new trial format that lets top performers move out of Legendary Commander faster.

Then there’s Rift Rumble, a 3v3 mode on a brand-new symmetrical map. The goal is to get kills and capture Ultimate Stones that can change how your champion fights.

Time to Lock In

Patch 7.3 isn’t just another pile of balance changes. Riot is reworking how teams build advantages, from ADC scaling and jungle economy to turret pressure and objective control. So ADC mains, junglers, supports, and everyone who lives for stealing objectives, mag-ready na kayo for a very different Rift.
