Pokémon Truck Rolls Into Metro Manila: Play Pokémon Pokopia on Switch 2 at Ayala Malls Starting Oct 2

TL;DR: The Pokémon Truck, a 17-foot LED-lit mobile play zone, starts its Philippine tour today at Market! Market! You can try Pokémon Pokopia on Nintendo Switch 2, meet Pikachu, and take home a limited sun visor. The tour runs until January 24, 2027 across Ayala Malls in Metro Manila, Cavite, and Laguna.

Trainers, heads up. The Pokémon Company is officially bringing its Pokémon Truck to the Philippines, and it rolls out today, October 2. The truck already pulled in more than 250,000 visitors during its stops in Malaysia and Singapore. Now it’s our turn, and given how hard Pinoys go for anything Pokémon, that number might get a serious challenge.

The campaign is called “Play ‘Pokémon Pokopia’ Game with Pokémon Truck at Your Town!” The pitch is simple: walk into the mall, sit down, and play Pokémon Pokopia on a Nintendo Switch 2. No need to own the console first.

What’s inside the truck

The truck has six Nintendo Switch 2 gaming stations. Four of them run Pokémon Pokopia, the slow-life sandbox game where you build your own world alongside Pokémon. The other two feature a rotating selection of Nintendo games at certain stops. Each station comes with its own Switch 2, a Pokopia-themed board, and simple instructions. Staff will also be around to help, so even if it’s your first time touching a Switch 2, okay lang, may aalalay sa’yo.

The setup isn’t the usual cramped demo booth, either. Expect LED displays all around and comfy sofa seating, the kind of space where you could easily lose an hour building your little Pokémon town.

Beyond the games

Not a gamer? Your kasama can still have fun. There’s a Pokopia photo zone and a decorative wall for your IG-worthy shots. Outside the truck, there’s a coloring corner for kids, and Pikachu himself will show up for meet-and-greets on selected Saturdays and Sundays.

Visitors can also take home a commemorative Pokémon Pokopia sun visor with Pokémon designs. These are given out on site while supplies last, so if you really want one, agahan mo ang punta.

“We’re bringing the Pokémon Truck to malls across Metro Manila so that as many people in the Philippines as possible can enjoy this experience,” said Kenichiro Fujino, Manager at The Pokémon Company. He added that fans should watch for the truck as it drives around the city on weekdays, too.

How the schedule works

On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, the truck roams around Parañaque, Las Piñas, Bacoor, Muntinlupa, Imus, Dasmariñas, and General Trias. Kaya kung may makita kang Pokémon truck sa daan, hindi ka nananaginip.

From Friday to Sunday, the truck parks at a selected mall for the full experience, complete with the event stage and Pokopia activity zones. Here’s the weekend lineup:

Dates and venues may still change, so check the official Pokémon PH Facebook page before heading out.

Quick refresher on Pokémon Pokopia

Pokémon Pokopia launched on March 5, 2026 exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. It’s a cozy, slow-life sandbox game developed by The Pokémon Company, GAME FREAK, and KOEI TECMO GAMES. It’s playable solo, but you can team up with up to four players locally or online. It’s available in physical and digital versions.

If you’ve been curious about Pokopia but aren’t ready to spend on a Switch 2 yet, this is a no-pressure way to try it. Bring the barkada, bring the kids, and maybe catch Pikachu while you’re at it.
