id Software’s Quake Live is a browser based game featuring Quake III Arena. There’s no need to dig your vault and re-install the game as Quake Live will run on your browser requiring only plugin installation for Windows-based Internet Explorer and Firefox. Support for other operating systems such as OSX and Linux will be added soon.
Everyone will be able to play Quake Live free but in game advertisement will be visible on all maps. Most ads are placed on heavily crowded space so hopefully you wont be distracted hehe.
