I am using Kaspersky before, pity , it take up too much system resources. I found the other good AntiVirus product names : Kingsoft Internet Security . Download is here: http://www.ksoffice.net/products/kingsoft-internet-security-9.htm

Fast , and I found the functions in the Antispyware , except Scan Virus , it has PC Optimization , I like it very much .

Most anti-viruses can only prevent viruses. They have limited removal capabilities. Search for the Virus Remover Tool from avast.

Also, if the computer is already fully infected, I suggest a full reformat and installation of a good antivirus afterwards.
